AG Life: Students get early access to the Franklin County Ag Fair

The Franklin County Ag Fair started on Wednesday, with some special guests getting early access.

The fair kicked off bright and early with hundreds of first-graders from Franklin County made their first visit to the fairgrounds. Some of the kids started the day with the canines in-flight Frisbee dogs while the others took in the dialed BMX show.  Meanwhile a lot of kids are looking forward to other fair attractions.

“Um, I go on the Ferris wheel a lot in Myrtle Beach and I go really high up that's my favorite part,” said Greenleigh Pugh. 

Their visit also included a trip to the Agrizoo which is sponsored by the Franklin County high school Ag students where they got to meet some of their barnyard friends.

“My favorite part is the animals because i have a lot of cats.,” said Channing Bowman.

In addition to your traditional agricultural exhibits the fair also features exhibits from Franklin County high school SkillsUSA students.

The fair will feature nightly competitions with electricity masonry and carpentry students these contest will reflect the same competition students will perform later in the year.
