Is the TV drama 911 similar to reality for dispatchers?

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. - This is an important time of year for first responders -- it's national public safety telecommunicators week.

It's also the 50 year anniversary of the first 911 call in America.

WFXR's Bill Wadell visited the Roanoke County Emergency Communicators Center to see what it takes to answer 911 calls and to find out what dispatchers think about FOX's hit show 9-1-1.
