Appalachian Power installs new meters

Appalachian Power gave some of its clients a new update.  In 2018, 130,000 homes in the Roanoke and Lynchburg area will receive a new meter.

The new meters are free for the clients and only take a few minutes to install, but there are few perks.

According to Appalachian Power spokesperson, Theresa Hamilton Hall, the new meters will help them to detect if there is a power outage remotely.
