Chlorine leak shuts down Radford Water Treatment Plant

The water treatment plant in Radford has been shut down temporarily after a chlorine leak.  

A press release from the city says water levels won't be impacted.  

The building was evacuated, and once the air is cleared crews will be allowed back into fix the leak and start water production again. 

Here is the press release: 

Radford, Va. – The City of Radford is experiencing a chlorine leak at the Water Treatment Plant.  
Due to the leak the plant is temporarily shut down, but water levels in Radford remain fine. The
building was evacuated to clear the air and once cleared, crews will be allowed back in to repair 
the located leak and resume water production.  There are no injuries to report
