Monster Art Rally held at Taubman Museum of Art

ROANOKE, Va. - The 3rd Annual Monster Art Rally was held Thursday night at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke.

More than 30 artists participated.  They created works on the spot, and they were sold during a live auction.

The guest had to draw numbers to get a chance to bid on pieces.

"Instead of having a bidding war, all the art is $50 flat across the board.  We use a deck of cards and anyone interested can pick a card and the highest card wins.  If you get it, it's $50, if not you aren't out any money," said Stephanie Fallon, the adult education teacher.

The proceeds will go to Taubman Museum of Art programs.
