DALEVILLE, VA. - Runk & Pratt announcing they have come to agreement with The Bank of Fincastle to purchase the Ashley Plantation Country Club.
Along with the country club, Runk & Pratt are also buying 70 additional acres of surrounding real estate in Daleville.
The deal is set to close January 2018.
Runk & Pratt Announces Purchase of Ashley Plantation Country Club from The Bank of Fincastle
Runk & Pratt Healthcare Enterprises, Inc., a Lynchburg company with holdings in senior living , event
venues, and golf courses, announced today that they have entered into an agreement with the Bank of Fincas
tle to purchase Ashley Plantation Country Club and 70 acres of surrounding real estate in Daleville, VA, near
Roanoke and Interstate 81. Ashley Plantation, founded in 1999, is a thriving country club that provides its
members with premium services and an outstanding 18-hole golf course. The closing date for Runk & Pratt’s
acquisition of this property is set for January 2018.
Runk & Pratt is a healthcare company that has specialized in senior living in the Lynchburg and Smith
Mountain Lake areas since 1992. After finding success in the industry, Runk & Pratt broadened their profes
sional horizons as they entered the event venue and wedding planning industry. The company owns Entwined
Events, a family of event and wedding services and venues including West Manor Estate, Bella Rose Plantation,
and The Bedford Columns. Expanding their holdings once again, Runk & Pratt purchased Ivy Hill Golf Club
in Forest, VA, and The Willows Golf Club in Pittsylvania County, VA. “Having successfully owned and operat
ed two golf courses, we are pleased to welcome Ashley Plantation to the Runk & Pratt Golf family,” said Brian
Runk, President of Runk and Pratt. “Our company uses golf to create a backdrop as an active lifestyle within
adult and family-driven communities we serve.” In addition, the members of Ashley Plantation will enjoy joint
membership with the existing Runk & Pratt golf courses.
Runk & Pratt is excited to not only welcome a new course to its golf family, but to enhance the local
community that surrounds Ashley Plantation. The company looks forward to contributing to the already grow
ing economic development in Botetourt County. Runk & Pratt hopes to make these contributions by develop
ing the 70 acres of surrounding real estate (formerly The Orchards, a 9-hole course at Ashley Plantation) into a
residential area. While there are no definitive plans for development, the company will explore opportunities
for active senior living in part of the undeveloped section of Ashley Plantation.
