Wayne Henderson and Jeff Little Trio on Song of the Mountains

Wayne Henderson and the Jeff Little Trio will appear on the Song of the Mountains public television taping at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, VA on Saturday, November 4th. Also on the show will be the Raleigh, North Carolina based Gravy Boys as well as the fine music of Brandon Lee Adams.

“Wayne Henderson from Rugby, Virginia is a world class guitar picker as well as guitar builder. Jeff Little from North Carolina has the unique distinction as the world’s only “Appalachian Piano Picker”. Both of these gentlemen are wonderful entertainers and we ask them back practically every year to perform on our show”, says Tim White the host of the nationally syndicated broadcast on public television.

Jeff Little will bring his group “The Jeff Little Trio” and Wayne Henderson will join them on stage for an fun filled, amazing performance at the historic Lincoln Theatre on November 4th. The group always performs some old classic favorites as well as some original tunes.

The Gravy Boys hail from Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and perform Acoustic Americana music that draws deep from the well of our country’s diverse musical heritage. Their high energy shows feature heartfelt vocal harmonies, boot-stomping rhythms, lively stage banter, and honest musicianship. The Gravy Boys are story tellers who spin their tales through tight, brother-duet vocals over a vintage acoustic backdrop. They take classic American themes and bring them into the present day, with an authentic passion that resonates with all who listen. They have released 3 CDs of original music: Crackerjack Whistle (2012), Dust Bowl Lover (2009), and Workin’ the Angels for Handouts (2007); and are currently wandering in and out of the studio working on a fourth record.

Developed from a lifetime of diverse musical influences, Brandon Lee Adams’ music fits equally into singer-songwriter, bluegrass, Americana and folk. He is equally at home fronting a full band at a festival or playing solo for house concerts or small clubs. Brandon has shared the stage with legends like J.D. Crowe, Tony Rice, Scott Vestal, Carl Jackson, Dave Evans, and many more. His unique sound has aired on radio stations all over the world including Japan and South Africa. His growing popularity has allowed him to travel and perform for appreciative audiences as far AWAY AS Ireland and Canada, This will be Brandon’s first appearance on Song of the Mountains.

Song of the Mountains presents concert tapings every month at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, VA. The concerts are taped for broadcast across America on Public Television. The November 4th tickets are available online and at the box office.
