New Legacy Series exhibit set to open at the George C. Marshall Museum

The third installment of the Series honors Marshall's impact on troop support.

The George C. Marshall Legacy Series continues on Thursday in Lexington with the opening of a new exhibit titled "Taking Care of the Troops."

This is the third installment of the George C. Marshall Museum's multi-year Legacy Series focused on honoring Marshall's impact on the United States military.

Marshall played a key role in improving support for the armed forces during World War II such as helping found the USO.

This exhibit will open to the public beginning 4:45 p.m. Thursday, October 8th in the lower gallery of the George C. Marshall Museum.

At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the George C. Marshall Foundation will host Guest Speaker Army Staff Sergeant Luke Murphy in Pogue Auditorium at the Virginia Military Institute.
