Drier, but still hot for Saturday

A cold front will sweep across the commonwealth overnight, and will bring an end to the rain and storms we’ve seen over the past few days. Lows will be slightly cooler tonight with mostly 60s around SW VA and 50s for some of our adjacent WV counties.

Unfortunately, there’s not *much* cool air behind this front, so our temperatures won’t drop much. You may notice some slightly drier air Saturday but highs will stay in the 80s and 90s. Sunday is a rinse and repeat forecast.

Monday is the big day for the solar eclipse! At this time, I’ve got highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s with partly cloudy skies. There may be a very small chance of a stray storm, but it’s looking mostly dry.
