Giles (4-1) at James River (2-3)
Last week recap:
Giles: Defeated Radford 28-14
-Giles was tied 14-14 at halftime with Radford before scoring two touchdowns in the second half to slip by the Bobcats. The Spartans look to stay undefeated in Three Rivers District play tonight against James River.
James River: Lost to Glenvar 42-7
-James River was able to take a 7-0 lead against the Highlanders to start the game but that was all she wrote as Glenvar scored 42 straight to win the game. After getting beat last week for the battle of the rocking chair, James River will be looking for vengeance against a tough Spartan football team.
Last time the teams met:

Teams keys to success:
-Establish the run.
-Throw in play actions.
-Use home field advantage.
-Score inside the redzone.
-Stop the run wing.
Players to watch:
Ryan Beidleman (Giles): Beidleman had an impressive game last week against Radford, rushing for over 250 yards and three touchdowns. Beidleman’s play is what ultimately led the Spartans by the Bobcats for the victory. James River is going to give Giles all they’ve got Friday night, after getting thrashed by Glenvar. Beidleman will have to play and run strong against the James River line and is my player to watch tonight.
Coulter Hodges (James River): The star so far this season for James River has been Coulter Hodges. Hodges is the leader of this team at quarterback as only a junior. The Knights will need him to step up this Friday to one of the highest pedestals to defeat the Spartans. Hodges will need to be pristine and cannot make mistakes if the Knights want to have a chance to win the game.
James River: 19
