Appomattox Volunteer Fire Company saves horse stuck in creek

APPOMATTOX, Va. (WFXR News) - The Appomattox Volunteer Fire Company saved a horse stuck in a creek Sunday evening.

The department posted on social media, they were dispatched for an animal rescue on Redhouse Road just before 5 p.m. 

They learned when they got to the scene that a horse had gotten stuck in a creek and couldn't get out. 

AVFD worked with the Appomattox High School AG department and neighbors to rescue the horse. 

The horse was rescued and treated by a veterinarian.
