Police responded to home hours before fatal shooting

ROANOKE, Va - UPDATE (5/16/18): Roanoke County Police tell WFXR News they responded to the home where a fatal shooting happened hours earlier.

Officers said they responded to the home in the 8000 block of Enon Drive just after 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14 for a reported loud party.

Police spoke with residents, but no action was taken.

Around 3 hours later, officers responded to the same home for reports of shots fired.

That's when police found three victims. Two were taken to the hospital, and a third had already died.

No arrests have been made.

This is an ongoing investigation.


UPDATE: Roanoke County Police have identified the man who was shot and killed Monday morning as Keonte Johnson.

The 23-year-old lived in Salem.

The two other shooting victims are still being treated in the hospital.

No charges have been filed in connection with the triple shooting.

UPDATE:  According to a Roanoke County spokesperson, three people were shot at about 7 am on Monday morning.  

Two people were taken to the hospital and one person has died. 

There were at least eight people in the home at the time of the shooting. 

This happened in the 7900 block of Enon Drive.  

Police believe there is no danger to the community at this time but no one has been arrested. 


UPDATE: WFXR News has confirmed that one person is dead after a shooting in Roanoke County.

Gunshots ring out in a Roanoke County neighborhood where three people have been injured.

Police are surrounding an area near Walrond Park, in the 7900 block of Enon Drive.

Police are asking for people to avoid the area. No word on how many shooters are involved.
