Five children jump out of burning Virginia apartment

RICHMOND, Va. - Six people were rescued from a burning apartment in one of Richmond's public housing units. Five of the victims, who were children, jumped out of the second-story window into the arms of firemen and a bystander, said officials.

The Richmond Fire Department was called to the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue in Hillside Court around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Officials say the six people inside the home were taken to the hospital, but none of them were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
