UPDATE: Man arrested for Danville robbery

UPDATE:  The man who was wanted in connection to a robbery in Danville has been arrested.  

Richard Dunn was arrested in Forsyth County North Carolina Wednesday night.

He was arrested on outstanding North Carolina and Danville warrants. 

He is awaiting extradition to Virginia.


Police in Danville are looking for a man in connection to a recent robbery. 

It happened at the Dairy Queen on Tuesday evening. 

Richard Dunn, from Lexington, North Carolina, was last seen driving a black Ford Fusion with NC tags reading "ELY-2180." 

Mr. Dunn is also wanted in Salisbury, North Carolinafor a similar crime.

A North Carolina man is wanted in connection to the robbery of the Dairy Queen restaurant yesterday evening.

The Danville Police Department is currently looking for 32-year-old Richard Macon Dunn of Lexington, NC. He is charged with Robbery in violation of VA State Code 18.2-58. Dunn was last seen operating a black 2014 Ford Fusion bearing NC tags ELY-2180. Dunn is described as a WM, with a beard and moustache, wearing glasses, 6'3", and approximately 215 lbs. Dunn  is also wanted by Salisbury North Carolina Police for a similar offense. See Salisbury Police Department Facebook link below:
