Suspect identified, sought after early morning stabbing on Cove Road NW

ROANOKE, Va. - Roanoke City Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a stabbing that happened early Friday morning. 

Police were called to the 27-hundred block of Cove Road Northwest around 1:30 a.m. in response to reports of a stabbing. 

According to police, officers were told there had been a physical fight between two men. 

Officers found 48-year-old Gregory Brown of Roanoke a short distance from the home with non-life threatening wounds. 

He was taken by ambulance to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 

Officers have obtained a warrant on 41-year-old George Allen for malicious wounding in relation to the incident. 

Police ask if anybody know where George Allen is, they call 911 and share what they know.
