VMI Snaps 25-Game Losing Streak, Beats Tusculum, 20-11

LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR) - VMI ended the country's longest active losing streak in Division I football after defeating Division II opponent, Tusculum, on Saturday afternoon at Foster Stadium. The Keydets defeated the Pioneers, 20-11, to celebrate their first win since October 8, 2016.

"It was awesome and the most fun was for me to go in there and watch these guys celebrate and enjoy it and they deserve it because I don't know another team in the country, I don't know another group of young men that would stay committed to each other for as long as they have with no reward at the end on the scoreboard and keep fighting and these guys did," head coach Scott Wachenheim said.

"This is a heck of an accomplishment and I'm dang proud of these dudes."
